What is the Coffee homies project... ??

The Coffee homies community is a project to experiment with exciting ways to enjoy and enrich the coffee experience. The Coffee homies community is a place where all coffee lovers can come together to experiment with ideas on how they can contribute to coffee production as a whole, not just as consumers or suppliers.

What we do ...

We have many ideas that could have an impact on our relationship with coffee. But they are still like coffee cherries and need a lot of input to make them into a good cup of coffee. So, we would like to start by having people buy NFT and deliver coffee beans every month for six months, and then work with the community to figure out what to do next. We would like to think about what we are going to do next.

Specific examples of what we are thinking about, —Construction of coffee processing plants. Building a processing plant in an area where there is not enough know-how in coffee processing and the full potential of the coffee bean is not yet fully exploited. —Construction of coffee laboratories. Processing is very important for good coffee, and we will create a laboratory to assist in this process. The laboratory will research to improve and stabilize the quality of coffee beans. —Support for the purchase of coffee trees. We will support the purchase of coffee trees from farms and trade them for vouchers to purchase future coffee from the farms. —Marketing support. Sometimes when I visit small farms in Colombia, I meet people who produce surprisingly high quality coffee. We could be an importer of his beans!

There is only one thing we have decided to do next is that we are going to buy a farm in Colombia.

We would like to use it to do something interesting and community-driven.

Valle del Cauca, Colombia

Umm... but why Colombia??

When I traveled to Colombia, I was fascinated by the country of Colombia!!

And not just for personal reasons, here is the reason ;)

Actually ... There is a plantation that we already have our eyes on. Already last year we began direct coffee trading with a region in South America called Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Valle del Cauca in Colombia, South America. It is an undisputed coffee-producing region in Colombia, also known as the Coffee Capital of the World. Colombia is a major producer of the highest grade specialty coffee.

However, there are some problems in this coffee capital that we only know about. For example, there is a structure that makes it difficult for coffee producers to motivate themselves to improve the quality of their coffee beans.

Most of the farmers in Valle del Cauca are small farmers, and when they export, they mix coffee beans of different quality because they need to keep a large quantity. This prevents coffee growers from getting proper evaluation for their work, even if they have made efforts to improve the quality of their coffee. As a result, it is difficult for them to be motivated to improve the quality of coffee beans, and the end result is hard work with low profit margins.

In the past three years, more and more farms, especially young producers, have taken up the challenge of producing specialty coffees, partly because the restrictions on exporting coffee out of the country were greatly eased about 10 years ago. However, they are still facing challenges such as high hurdles for capital investment and marketing etc...

I believe this is where we can work together to improve the situation.
